Glass in my works signifies
the world between opaque and translucent, visible and invisible, material
and immaterial, real and unreal. It is a world of shady shapes,
exciting and elusive.
Life has many layers. The past carries various meanings which offer different interpretations.
On the ruins of an old watermill, history is exposing itself, displaying the times that the mill has gone through. There are footsteps of changing regimes and masters. The blue, black and white have been split by the red. This disjointedness of history has eroded the strong walls, however water still flows, as do the stories.
Our attitude in response to the past is influencing how we feel today and how we shape our future. New experiences reflect disappearing ones as new layers cover old ones.
